“Remembering things changes your memory of those things?”

Interesting research. Not surprising though, I noticed a long time ago that some of my memories — things that I know are actual events — have gotten mixed up in my head with things that I also know didn’t happen at the same time.

    I didn’t need to see television footage of the plane hitting the WTC, I saw it in person. :-(

    I was watching the live TV feed when the second plane hit — a relative had called and told us to turn it on. :-(

    But it’s other memories, personally important but irrelevant to anyone else, where I noticed the phenomenon.
